Day 21

Dr. Eric Butterworth writes in Spiritual Economics that the real meaning of “to bless” is to confer prosperity upon.

Too many times we “curse” our prosperity instead of blessing it. How?

  • by looking at our bills with dread
  • by looking at the price of things in the marketplaces with a feeling of “how dare they charge so much”
  • by envying our neighbors for their new home, new car, new clothes, etc.
  • by berating the government for the payroll, property, sales, etc. taxes
  • by being angry with our employers for not giving us the salary we think we deserve
  • (you fill in this one J)

One of our popular sayings in New Thought (and in Quantum Physics) is where the attention goes, the energy flows. This week let’s pay attention to our attitudes around our money. What are we giving our attention to?

Florence Scovel Shinn, author of The Game of Life and How to Play It wrote that our words should only be used for three purposes: “to heal, to bless, and to prosper.”

Let’s bless our financial life. Every time we pay a bill, purchase something at the store, write a cheque, etc., bless it. Bless it with love and gratitude.

Abundant Blessings, Rev. Angelica

Thank God we’re rich!!
