Day 60

We have come to the end of this Round. I'm knowing for each of us that our prosperity consciousness has expanded, and our experience of the Divine has deepened.

Let's Treat:

The Source of all there is and ever has been or ever will be, is everywhere. It is all around us, supporting us. It is within us, nurturing us. It is our Life.

I am so grateful to have a greater understanding of the givingness of The Universe and my ability to receive. I continue to open my mind, my heart and my arms to my good. I know it never ends. I am consciously open to receive all of Life's riches.

I know this not only for myself, but for all participants in TGWR that walked this Round with me. I am grateful for the partnership, and the participation. I know that by our changing our consciousness, we are erasing lack and lifting up humanity, and this is good, very good.

I continue to see the benefits of this Round even though it is over. Money flows to me from every possible, positive avenue because I am ready and willing to receive. I share my good with joy. I spread wealth consciousness everywhere I go. Every area of my life is enriched, and I am blessed.

With a grateful heart, I release these words, knowing they are so, and so it is.

One more day of this Round! To celebrate your increased prosperity consciousness, give something away today!!

Even if you didn't feel that you benefited that much from this Round, go out and give something away.

This morning I did an open-eyed mediation .... I sat at the living room window and looked outside. I live on a hill and have a view of a bridge over a river, snow capped mountains, trees and buildings. I saw the abundance of cars going over the bridge. The abundance of snow on the mountains. The abundance of logs in the river. In my own yard, I saw the abundance of new leaves appearing on the trees and bushes. I saw and heard an abundance of little birds.

As I contemplated the abundance of my personal Universe, I felt a wave of gratitude come over me. I am so grateful to be alive and have the life I have!

Spend some time today contemplating the abundance of the Universe around you!! And be grateful!!

Day 55

Let's focus on gratitude for the 5 days left in this Round. Whether you prospered in the way you intended at the beginning of this Round or not, we always have so much to be thankful for.

When we focus on the Good in our lives, it's like fertilizing the garden of our intentions. Our seed thoughts of opportunities, love, money, greater health, creativity, grow better, stronger and faster when we're grateful!!

Imagine yourself standing at a great ocean of prosperity.
You can have all you want to take.
What sort of vessel did you bring with you?
If you're not satisfied with what you first imagined.... change it!!

Dr. Erik Butterworth writes in Spiritual Economics:

"Faith is expectancy. You will always receive what you actually expect."

This is true not only in our financial life, but in all other areas as well. What are you expecting?

Day 53

Stop waiting for your good to just happen to you.  Supply the Law of Mind with your clear idea of what you desire to happen.  Think about that idea, what it looks like and know there is all the Power in the Universe working as you to make it happen.  Release that idea to the Law.  It is ready and willing to make something good out of your idea, specifically for you.

How can I state it any better than this??  We have 9 more days of this round.  How have you done with the intention you set up at the beginning?  If you're thinking "not so well" then perhaps it's time to look at it again and get serious!

A journal exercise for today:  Write your intention again, and refine it to one sentence, beginning with "I am ...."  or "I have ...."

Now list your excuses as to why that isn't so right this minute.  You will begin to see where you have argued for your limitations.  Change those excuses to affirmations!

When the "I can" consciousness replaces the "I can't" consciousness -- you can and you will!

Day 49

Are you going to work just so you can have a paycheque?  Or are you going to work to serve?

I believe that if we do our work with an attitude of serving others, prosperity will flow to us unimpeded.  If you are happy with your work, you know what I mean.  If not, ask yourself "How can I make this an act of service?"

When I was studying for the ministry, I was working for an accountant.  Day after day of posting numbers, especially during tax time.  When I finally asked myself this question, I came up with "My work in the world for this moment is to help people keep their finances in order."  This made the job much easier.

How do you serve our world?

Day 48

There is nothing that can stop us from being prosperous if we are ready. People talk of "golden opportunities" as if they come from outside of us, but the Truth is, those opportunities showed up because people had the consciousness for them.

Create the consciousness, make your demands upon the Law and the "golden opportunities" will appear.

While watching Oprah's BIG GIVE tonight, I thought WOW!  This is the kind of reality show I like!  It reminds us that we can always do something wonderful for others.

That made me think of a greeting card I once had, that read:

"The best exercise for the heart is reaching down and helping someone up."

Get some exercise today -- go out and do something wonderful for someone!

Day 46

It is part of our nature to desire good things.  We desire to experience more of life, more love, more health, more creativity and yes, more wealth.  Contrary to many old faith traditions, there is nothing wrong with desire!

We might ask ourselves, how can I have more when so many have so little?  If we look outside we will see that the Law of Nature isn't limited in any way.  Ask any gardener who is pulling weeds!!

If the Law of Nature is limitless, it seems we are limiting ourselves through the Law of Mind.  A good journalling exercise would be to contemplate where in our lives we have done this.  Begin to realize the Law is always available, always at our bidding.

Let's let Life reflect our consciousness of prosperity!

Day 45

"Again I remind you to live a life and not just talk about it.  There is far too much talk and not enough action in the world today, which is why the world is in the state it is in.  You are the ones to live that  life, to put into action what I am telling you.  You have to do the work; no one else can do it for you.  You can be given a plate of food but only you can eat it if you are to be nourished by it.  You can be told about spiritual truths but only as you live them, put them into practice in your lives and demonstrate them, do they become reality to you and live and move and have their being in you.  You must stand on your own feet and do your own work, your own thinking, and do your own living."    -- Eileen Cady, co-founder of Findhorn

SO -- go back and look at the first pages of your journal, where you declared what you wanted out of this round of Thank God We're Rich.  How are you doing?  Are you putting these Principles in action ... or just reading and deleting them?

I'm inviting all of us to check in with our consciousness -- and if need be, renew our intentions!

Day 44

The other day I received a check for my washer and dryer from the new tenant, and in the hustle and bustle of moving, I lost it!

I found it very interesting to observe my thoughts and feelings -- over a piece of paper!

During the search I went from curiosity to panic to "oh well" ... and yes, I did find it.

How would you be in such a situation?  It's at these times that we really realize what we believe.

 

Day 42

Today I declare I am a Great Receiver!!

I choose what I want to receive.

I open my heart, my mind and my arms to the generosity of the Universe.

I declare that anything in my subjective mind that might have previously blocked my good is released.

And I receive -- graciously, willingly, gratefully.

Day 43

My income increases whether I am working, sleeping or playing.

This quote came in on Bob Proctor's daily e-mail the other day ... and as I sat down to budget the extra expenses of moving I realized just how important this statement is. Our attitudes about money can control the flow into and out of our lives!

When you pay your bills are you doing it in an attitude of gratitude? Pay attention today as you open your purse or wallet, use your debit or credit cards. What is your attitude right at that moment? And if you find that you're uncomfortable with your attitude - change it!

How? Well, on the TV show Allie McBeal, one of the characters had been to a therapist who taught him "Smile Therapy." When he wanted to change how he was feeling, he was to consciously smile. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to do the same thing. Smile in gratefulness for all you have and all you are!

Here's a line I copied from a delightful little book "Acres of Diamonds" by Russell Conwell:

"I say you ought to be rich: you have no right to be poor. To live and not be rich is a misfortune and it is doubly a misfortune because you could have been rich just as well as being poor."

It reminds me of a cartoon I saw in the New Yorker magazine years ago .... two hobos are standing on the sidewalk watching a Rolls Royce drive by. One turns to the other and says "There but for me, go I."

And how true this is. Choose to be rich and then honour that choice by doing what is necessary to attain and maintain that consciousness. You have a right to be rich!!

Day 36

Reflections on Prosperity and Money

I love the greeting given in 3 John 1 by Paul to his friend, Gaius, and those living in the Province of Asia -- "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers."

How wonderful to consider that our soul prospers. When we realize we are created to prosper, this is the magnet to our good. Our soul is the eternal vehicle of Spirit and Spirit is ever willing to provide abundantly. When our first love is God/Spirit we are sustained and fulfilled abundantly.

Let's understand ... money is intended to be God in action, circulating, blessing, increasing, enriching. When I work from my soul prospering I shall be led rightly in my use of money at all times. Money will never be my first love, God alone is, but that I am intended to prosper should never be in question.

I got a complaint yesterday about our focus on money, which made me laugh, since this is intentionally a campaign about money! So let's get real here -- The world we live in is obsessed with money. We're told having it will make us happy, and not having it will make us depressed. It's the perfect vehicle to examine who's beliefs we are living with!!

I think money and how we respond to it, is a symbol of how we work with the energy moving through our lives. The late Dr. Raymond Charles Barker wrote that money is a symbol of the action of God in our lives. We all want more! Realizing we can attract money with almost no effort at all can lead us to an understanding that anything is possible - including the soul-satisfying relationship with the Divine we're all yearning for!

Day 34

I've heard about the results of our butterfly experiment from a few of you - how delightful! I know this has helped you realize that what you focus on, you attract.

So - because this is a prosperity campaign - today let's focus on found money. "Found money" is money found in coat pockets, on the street, in the couch, the glove compartment of your car, whereever ... the idea is to focus on "finding money" for the next 24 hours.

Again, let me remind you, what you focus on, you attract!! Pay attention!!

Day 33

A good day to pray. Read this Spiritual Mind Treatment with as much feeling and belief as you can as many times as you desire:

There is one infinite Source of all substance. It is not only the Source but the substance itself. It fills every atom of the universe because It is the Universe. From this Source continually flows our good. There is no way we can stop It.

I know now that I can limit my experience of It by my thoughts and feelings, but I can not stop It. So I quit trying to. I now declare that all that is within my subjective mind blocking my good is now erased. I breathe deeply with a great sense of relief. I have let go of limitation.

Now I experience my Self more fully. I experience the Good of this world with ease. I am open to the abundance of the Universe in all ways. I see It show up not only in my financial life, but in my health, my relationships and the way I work.

I celebrate my renewed consciousness of prosperity. I feel it and I see it everywhere! Life is good! Life is abundant!

With a grateful heart, I release these words into the Law of Mind, knowing they are already an established Truth in my consciousness. Thank God We're Rich! And so It is.

Day 32

I've been clearing a lot of clutter with some help from friends ... and what a freeing feeling it is!

I've chosen to use this experience as a symbol of clearing any clutter that has been blocking my prosperity consciousness.

I invite you to try it! Clean a drawer, a closet, a room, the car, your desk ... and let go of anything that is no longer serving you! You'll be amazed at the results!!

Day 31

Let's be "scientists" ...

I would like you to have an example of how powerful you are. When you finish reading this, I'd like you to sit still for at least 3 minutes and focus on butterflies. Contemplate their beauty, and what they mean to you. Then set an intention that you will notice butterflies this weekend. They might not necessarily be live ones and they may show up in unusual places, so have fun!

This experiment is to prove the concept "What you focus on, you attract."

Day 30

We've reached the half way point for this round! Give yourself a big hug! Whether you realize it or not, your consciousness is changing for your highest good and greatest joy.

Spend some time thinking, and perhaps journalizing, about the wonderfully abundant Universe you live in. Why? Because we are as rich as the openness of our hearts to receive that which Spirit is always giving.

What a great way to love yourself today!!

Day 29

A meditation:

Get by yourself for a few minutes every day. Release your worries, relax your body and quietly invite the rich substance of the universe to flow into your mind, body and affairs. State that this rich universal substance is providing you with whatever you need for your growth and expansion. It might be health, guidance, specific ideas or information, a job, more money, peace of mind, more leisure and time for reflection, or more harmonious relationships.

'Do not try to force this Power to do anything for you. To try to compel it only repels it. Be relaxed, receptive, open minded, humble. Do not get impatient, but practice this simple asking and inviting method daily. Something wonderful will happen, if you persevere!'

I live in the space of thankfulness - and I have been rewarded a million times over for it. I started out giving thanks for small things,
and the more thankful I became, the more my bounty increased.

That's because what you focus on expands, and when you focus on the goodness in your life, you create more of it. Opportunities, relationships, even money flowed my way when I learned to be grateful no matter what happened in my life.

"Say thank you!" Those words from my friend and mentor Maya Angelou turned my life around. One day about ten years ago, I was sitting in my bathroom with the door closed and the toilet lid down, booing and ahooing on the phone so uncontrollably that I was incoherent.

"Stop it! Stop it right now and say thank you!" Maya chided. "But You don't understand," I sobbed.

To this day, I can't remember what it was that had me so far gone, which only proves the point Maya was trying to make. "I do understand," she told me. "I want to hear you say it now. Out loud.

'Thank you.'" Tentatively, I repeated it: "Thank you - but what am I saying thank you for?"

"You're saying thank you," Maya said, "because your faith is so strong that you don't doubt that whatever the problem, you'll get through it. You're saying thank you because you know that even in the eye of the storm, God has put a rainbow in the clouds.
You're saying thank you because you know there's no problem created that can compare to the Creator of all things. Say thank you!"

TODAY IS A DAY FOR GRATITUDE.

Day 22

If you're like me, since the beginning of the year, you've probably been inundated with phone calls and letters in the mail offering you new credit cards. Some of the offers are so seductive. Yet, getting another credit card is not an answer to a prosperity treatment - it's creating more debt! Suzee Orman, in her book 9 Steps to Financial Freedom, writes that when we use our credit cards and only pay the minimums due, we pay much more than the actual price of the items we've bought!

Part of a prosperity consciousness is being a good steward of what we have now. Part of being a good steward is knowing what your debts and income are. Today, let yourself be honest as you review your current financial picture. Then journal on how you feel. Next, spend time being grateful for the credit you have (or even don't have) and bless all your debts, knowing they will soon be paid in full!

Day 21

Ever notice how easily "stuff" accumulates? Perhaps today is a good day to clean a drawer or closet.
The renowned prosperity teacher, Catherine Ponder, wrote in Dynamic Laws of Prosperity:

"Basically, the vacuum law of prosperity is this:

if you want greater good, greater prosperity in your life, start forming a vacuum to receive it!

In other words, get rid of what you DON'T want, to make room for what you DO want."

This is a good Principle for beliefs that no longer serve us as well.

and the third is what you really want ....

Awareness is a key.

Day 18

Today would be a great day to give away some money!!

Now if you read that sentence and thought "Whoa, wait a minute ... I doing this program to get more money, not give it away!" then this day is especially for you!

Here's a story:
A gold miner was hopelessly lost in the desert, he had run out water days ago, and the temperature was over 100 degrees. He was about to give up when he stumbled across what appeared to be an old abandoned water pump. He pumped it like crazy but no water came out. At the base of the pump, he discovered a tiny bottle of water, and under it he finds a note that read.

"I repaired this ole' pump, so it'll work if you try. Just take that little bottle of water and pour it down the well. It'll wet the leather washer and seal the pump. Then you'll get all the water you want."

When we remember that the Law of Circulation is a circle ... then the idea of priming the pump becomes a great idea. Let me caution you however. You must give the money away with no judgments attached.

For instance, if you decide you're going to give something to that guy that's always sitting on the corner with his dog and his hand out, don't be thinking about how he should get a job, or that he's just going to use it to buy liquor or drugs, or any of the other things we think as we quickly walk by averting our heads.

Give just because you can. Give with an attitude of gratitude.
And Thank God We're Rich.

Prosperity

Divine abundance overflows into every area of my life. Prosperity is mine.

My prosperity is not only about the level of my financial success or the quantity or quality of my material possessions. My experience of prosperity moves beyond the physical to the divine. God’s blessings are endless, abundantly evident and available to me at all times and in all circumstances.

God is my source and my substance, and I am divinely supported with all that I need to live a full and prosperous life. Clarity and direction, compassion and forgiveness, peace and serenity, creativity and energy, as well as my physical needs and material comforts —are mine in abundance. Each of these gifts, and so much more, are here for me now. Divine abundance overflows into every area of my life. Prosperity is mine.

Day 16

A few days ago, I asked you to pay attention to your self talk .... I'm knowing you noticed some things you could change, and did so right away!!

Now I'd like you to listen to other's conversations. How many people do you know who are always talking about money? Sit in a coffee shop in a mall one day and listen to how money is prevalent in our conversation. People are talking about their lack of money, (IE: I want to do this, but I can't afford it) or how much something cost that they bought. Sometimes the later conversation is because they got a good deal, and sometimes there is a tinge of "I'm better because I paid so much."

All of these stories are limiting our good. People with a prosperity consciousness don't talk about how much things cost or how valuable they are, unless asked, and sometimes not even then. Nor do they complain about not being able to afford something. They just KNOW.

I ask you to do this exercise because the limiting conversations are active in the One Mind, and unless we focus on what we want to express, we will be constantly mesmerized by the world's stories.

Wake up! And thank God we're rich!!

Day 15

Have you ever considered that paying your bills could be a sacred experience?
Whether you use the computer, the phone, the bank or write a cheque, let yourself do it being fully present and grateful!

Be grateful for your job, or however your money comes to you. Be grateful for being able to pay your bills. Be grateful for the technology to be able to use a computer or the phone. Be grateful for the energy and the people who work in the bank. Be grateful for the people who print up the cheques you use.

Most of all, be grateful to the Source of all our good!

Day 14

Perhaps this is a good time to pay attention to the "self-talk" we have around our experiences of prosperity. It might give us a clue as to what we are thinking that is blocking the ever present flow of Good into our lives.

Remember those things you say to yourself and record them in your journal.
IE: you might be walking through a store and see something that looks really good, yet when you look at the price, you give yourself an excuse as to why you can't have it.

After you record your thoughts, write an affirmation to counteract it.

The Truth is - You deserve prosperity!!

Paying Bills Consciously

Many of us spent more than we meant to for the holidays. Now we harvest the unpaid bills. How we deal with those bills tells us much about how we think about money. Do we tremble when we see those invoices? Or do we smile and dash off a check? How many of us actually feel gratitude when the bills arrive? Can anyone in their "right mind" feel gratitude when they have to pay a bill?

We certainly can. First of all, we can be grateful that someone trusted us enough to let us take home their goods on credit. Second, we are expressing a form of gratitude when we willingly, joyfully, pay for what someone entrusted to us. Gratitude is love and love is the givingness of Spirit. Paying a bill can be the moment to acknowledge that Spirit is here, right at the center of everything we are doing. And if Spirit is present, then the Source of our supply is present. By aligning with the spirit of love and gratitude, we are building a consciousness of having. And having is what prosperity is all about, isn't it? But before we have those material goods, we must have the right idea of prosperity and put it into practice.

Many of us have created some symbols to write on our checks as we pay bills. Those symbols remind us of what our real source is and to be grateful. When we are grateful, more good is released. The acronym I use is "GITSOMS" (God is the source of my supply). Git some! It usually makes me laugh to see it, then I feel joy, which puts me in alignment with Spirit!

UNEXPECTED INCOME

Infinite Mind is expressing as all I am right now. Because I live within Infinite Mind I am my own Source of good. I mentally open all channels and allow my good to pour forth as unexpected income!

Today, I have the consciousness of having more than enough to meet all my needs. Therefore I am free to give as well. I cast my "bread" upon the waters of Infinite Mind. I release along with my "bread," the goods of joy, respect, love and peace. Those goods return to me as a windfall of money. I attract it from every direction, from known and unknown channels. It overflows my pockets, my wallet and my checking account. I circulate it freely and joyfully. I cannot get rid of it, for it comes back to me multiplied a hundredfold. I am grateful for the good I already have and expect an even greater unfoldment of good -- beginning now. And so it is.

"Trusting in the Universe." This is one of my hot keys for prosperous living. What does this mean to you? And what do you have to do to totally trust? Good thing to journalize about today.

The Good of God is Intangible Substance. When you ask in faith, believing, this Substance takes the form of all things necessary for the fulfillment of your life's purpose, including the tangible prosperity you require.

Your part is to access the divine dimension of your being which allows you to simply give in and let Divine Love be a constant current flowing through and as your life. Willingly enter into the stream of Love and watch how you are carried by the unstoppable dynamic of God's love calling you to be bigger than you ever thought you could be.

These thoughts act like barriers for the flow of Divine Abundance that is constantly moving into our lives.

Emma Curtis Hopkins, considered the "teacher of teachers" in New Thought, wrote of the number six representing "labourless success." Yummmmm ....I love that!!

Labourless success ..... I know we'd all like to work smart not hard, and I also know it is possible.

By the way, for those who've written me and said they don't like journalling .... your mind is the best journal there is ... don't let your dislike of a particular suggestion stop you from doing the process!! Getting clear about our beliefs around prosperity is a key part of living an abundant life!!

I came to the blog yesterday and discovered this is actually Round 4 not 3 as I'd thought :)

Which made me think of a very important - perhaps the MOST important secret to being prosperous:

PAY ATTENTION!

This is "The Secret" to life as well. The Law of Attraction works according to our dominant thoughts and feelings.

Right now, think of your bank account. How do you feel? What is the immediate self-talk?
Don't think about what you think you should think about -- be honest with yourself.
What ever came up for you is what you are predominantly thinking about.


A journal exercise for today:
Draw a line down the middle of your next page. Label the left side "Old Story", the right side "New Story"
On the left side, write the thoughts and feelings that came up for you when I asked you about your bank account. On the left side, write a positive affirmation and a positive feeling.
When you are finished, cross out the "Old Story" of your financial life, and be grateful for having created a new one!

All I have is yours

Start right now thinking prosperity. See yourselves with all your needs being wonderfully met. Refuse to see yourselves short of anything. You know what you need, and what is more, you know those needs are being met. Why live on a shoe string when all I have is yours? Why stop the flow of My abundant limitless supply by your limited, constrictive consciousness? When you begin to understand and to accept where everything comes from, when you can give thanks for everything freely and joyously, you will lack nothing, absolutely nothing. You keep the flood gates open so that every need is met at the right time, exactly when you need it.

Day 3

The word "Prosperity" means different things to each of us. For some, prosperity might mean a full refrigerator, for others, a new car. And for some it could also mean the ability to do what they want, when they want, with whom they want.

How do you define Prosperity? As we are working towards being more prosperous together, make sure the definition you have is the one you want, not someone else's!

Your assignment today is to get a notebook, or create a file on your computer, titled THANK GOD I'M RICH!! Start your book by writing your intention for this time period on the first page, so you see it every time you open it. On today's page, write your definition of Prosperity ... this might changes as you move through the 57 days ahead of us, so leave some space to make additions or corrections.

Perhaps you might even want to start listing 5 things you are grateful for each day.

Now that we've stated our intentions for Round 3 of Thank God We're Rich, we have to be consciously open to receive!

Here is a great action step by Louise Hay to get you started. Once a day, stand with your arms wide open and say with joy...

"I am open and receptive to all the good and abundance in the Universe. Thank you, Life."

Everything you say, think and feel is an affirmation. Be aware of self-talk, keep it positive. Stay in the attitude of Gratitude!!

Welcome to your newly expanded prosperity consciousness!!!

Do you feel it!?! Well, if you don't now, I know that by the end of these 60 days together, each of us knows, without a shadow of doubt, that we are prosperous beings. And we FEEL it as well!! Whoo Hoo!!

To begin, let's set our own intention.

Recognizing the abundant giving nature of the Universe, I now declare I am ready and willing to experience a new level of prosperity in my life. My mind is clear, my heart is open.

I accept the richness of the Universe with great joy. I accept God as the Source of all my good, and as I become more open, I am immediately filled up. I accept that the Universe is crazy about me, and is loving and generous. I don't have to DO anything to receive my good, I just have to see it as already here.

My intention is manifesting right now. I see it, I claim it, and I know it is so. I walk in an atmosphere of gratitude. And so it is.
